After more than 30 years in mortgage lending Dian’s business is primarily referral based. Her common sense approach and honest mentoring has provided Dian a steady clientele taking her from first time homebuyers to private investment loans. Dian’s journey in mortgage lending led her to the Builders Association of Northern Nevada where she served on several legislative boards. Her understanding of real estate, mortgage lending and new residential building made Dian valuable in all of her positions.  She is currently the elected Sparks City Councilwoman Ward 2; Washoe County Planning Commission 2006 to 2013; serving as chairman from 2009 – 2011. Dian also served on the Truckee Meadows Regional Planning Commission from 2007- 2012; serving as chairman in 2010-2011. Dian’s philanthropic roots are deep in Northern Nevada volunteering, fundraising or serving on the boards of Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful (KTMB), Builders Association Charity (BAC), Big Brother/Big Sisters, Committee to Aide Abused Women (CAAW), Habitat for Humanity and Ace Charter High School. Dian’s motto hails from Eleanor Roosevelt, who said, “Never allow a person to tell you no who doesn’t have the power to say yes.”
